Some say Marvel games need to embrace Soulslike styles after Jedi: Fallen Order incorporated certain elements with mild success. In recent years, Nioh (2017), Nioh 2 (2020), and Mortal Shell (2020) are a few of the more popular non-FromSoftware games that embrace a similar feel.
LIES OF P PROTAGONIST SERIES
The Souls series inspired a new gaming genre simply because of its unique nature, but recreating one isn't an easy task for studios. The Soulslike genre gets its style from FromSoftware's Dark Souls franchise, which focuses on compact level design, difficult enemy battles (especially bosses), and dark fantasy settings. IGN tweeted a photo of what looks like the line to demo Lies of P at. Its narrative is also accompanied by unique gameplay mechanics that look like they're straight out of a Souls game. Lies of P, a Soulslike game based on the story of Pinocchio, is looking like the biggest breakout out of this year's Gamescom. The game takes a deeper, darker dive into Pinocchio's deceptions, which is a play-off of the classic fantasy character whose nose grows longer with each lie he tells. While in the Trailer Geppetto narates to us as we follow him "in this grave yard I will find it" then we seen him latter in a building with a robot that looks almost to human withe the exception being his arm and the Pinocchio with Geppetto loming over him as he comes to life now I know what you asking while there at the grave yard he mentioned something about finding "IT" and during that seen right after we see the after math of a heated battle that had happened but after that battle if you look closely you'll see Geppetto closing his brefcase and then exiting the building I think this further adds to the theory that Geppetto is trying to resurrect his son by maybe scaviging or hunting some of the pupets that have the components that he needed to reserct his son.Īnyways thats just me like I mentioned its probably not true and most of this is me speculating but what do you think please leave a comment telling me what you think.Lies of P looks like it might be the only worthwhile Souls clone in the current market. I do have some evidence to back some of this story to possibly back it up but most of this is speculation I will link some of the videos of the teaser trials that lead to my speculation that I'll show here> So here's my theory that both makes sense in lore for the game and possible plot meanly about Geppetto's character that being his possible life before the events that happened in Krat obviously, Geppetto was a puppet maker and or engineer who built most of the robots for a living and instant having no son he had an actual son who grew up in Krat while it was still thriving it seemed good for a while but then a series of events happened that lead to the inevitable downfall of Kart that being the robots rebelling and a plag that effected the city that we hear about in the city that obviously took quite a few lives and I think during these hard times it got so bad that it became unsustainable were most of the residents who weren't effected left the city with the exception of the people who were affected with the plag or who chose to stay and during all of this I think Geppetos son may have died during those said events this being the exact reason he stayed unable to get over the loss of his son chose to stay unable to leave him behind him wanting to see his son again use his craftmen skills took his sons lifeless body and using his nack for mechanics made his son into a machine. Sammy is the protagonist because he is the character that changes the most throughout the story.
